Alec Schuster hasn't played a full season of football since his sophomore year of high school, but after spending two years rehabilitating from a back injury, he will be heading to The Ohio State University this fall as a kicker.

Schuster will be a red-shirt freshman where he plans on preparing for place kicking and field goal duties. He will be competing for a full scholarship following his red-shirt freshman year.

Schuster graduated from Weddington High one semester early and spent the winter/spring searching for opportunities to kick after high school. The Weddington graduate will go from playing in front of hundreds to a stadium that holds over 100,000.

"To tell people that I'm an Ohio State football player, I mean, it's almost like I'm hesitant to say it because they won't even believe me, that's how big it is," Schuster said.
