Reports: U.S. Arming Kurds In Fight Against ISIS

Posted: Updated:

Senior U.S. officials say the Obama administration has begun directly providing weapons to Kurdish forces that have started to make gains against Islamic militants in Iraq.

The U.S. previously insisted on only selling arms to the Iraqi government.

FOX News' Doug Luzader has more details in this video report.

Meanwhile, the U.S. launched a fourth round of airstrikes in Iraq early Sunday.

The attacks by U.S. fighter jets and drones destroyed three armed vehicles belonging to ISIS.

The U.S. military has also completed four rounds of aid deliveries to the tens of thousands of Iraqis driven out of their homes by Islamic militants.

The military released footage of its food and water aid drops over northern Iraq.

They've been working with the Iraqi government to deliver almost 75,000 meals and more than 15,000 gallons of water.
