Indianapolis, IN -

Man’s best friend came to the rescue in Indiana. Police dog helped find a missing 4-year-old.

The young toddler wandered away from his home on Saturday August 2.

A part of the rescue effort was a 7-year-old certified man trailing bloodhound known as Grace who searched for the missing toddler.

The bloodhound was able to track the boy’s scent into a cornfield in Hancock County.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Detective Sgt. William Carter said, “After three hours the survival rate of anyone missing goes down very quickly after those three hours.”

Over the past couple of years Grace has helped locate several missing people.
