Fort Mill Woman Finalist for Magazine's "Next Fitness Star"

Posted: Updated:
Fort Mill, SC - Women come in all different shapes and sizes and not all are pleased with their bodies. This is something Noell Yanik knows all too well.

“I felt sluggish, I just didn’t feel comfortable about the way I looked in general and I just felt flabby, like soft body,” Noell says.

Noell set out to change that. When she started dating her husband, she says the two were inseparable.

“I always wanted to be with him. We were engaged so we were in that period of time where we always wanted to be with each other,” she said.

She says her husband always hung out in the weight room which caused her to do the same.

“I started lifting weights,” she said. “I was reluctant at first because I didn’t want to bulk, I thought I would bulk if I lifted weights. My body completely changed, I looked like I had a full body lift,” she said.

However, Noell just didn’t get a makeover, she got a start over. With an initial job in sales she decided to close that deal and focus on becoming a full- time trainer.

“I worked at a gym for two years in Louisville”, Noell said. “Another trainer and I, like my best friend in Louisville, we started body boot camps and that was my first business.”

After marriage and getting pregnant, Noell and her husband decided that they wanted to live in Fort Mill. After the move, Noell restarted her business training women in the Fort Mill area.

“Right now with women’s health I’m teaching women everywhere that you can work out at home,” she said.

During her training, one of Noell’s clients told her about the opportunity of a lifetime; Women’s Health Next Fitness Start Competition and she applied.

“Out of thousands of applicants, I was chosen to be in the final five,” Noell said.

“My dream is to educate people and especially women everywhere on how they carry out a fit lifestyle,” she said.

The competition is voter based and ends August 1st. If Noelle wins, she gets her own Women’s Health DVD series and a feature in Women’s Health magazine. To vote for Noelle, click here. To connect with Noell via Facebook visit www.facebook.com/noellyaniktrainer.
