Germany Scores in Extra Time, Wins World Cup 1-0 over Argentina

 Germany scored the only goal of the 2014 World Cup Final in the 113th minute -- the latest goal in World Cup Final history -- when Mario Gotze volleyed off his chest to his left foot. The Germans took a 1-0 lead they would not relinquish, to win their fourth World Cup Title.

The winning goal was assisted by Andre Schurrle. Germany outshot the Argentinians, 10-9.
