The car involved sped through a residential neighborhood, hit a parked car, hit Sadarie Donaldson, 13, and never stopped. Donaldson is recovering at Children's Hospital with multiple fractures in his left arm. It happened July 6 near Puritan and Sorrento. A witness says the suspect stopped and got out after the accident and started walking away from the scene. It appears the hit and run driver was behind the wheel of a stolen car.

The boy's mother says he was not supposed to be outside at the time of the crash. The family is preparing to make a formal police report. Investigators will be looking for the car thief and hit and run driver. The teen is expected to recover.
