Four people were killed and a child was hurt in a crash in southwest suburban Bridgeview Friday afternoon.

The two-vehicle crash happened about 5:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of South Harlem Avenue, according to Bridgeview police and fire officials.

Worth resident Aiman Salem, 21, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro north on Harlem Avenue when it collided head-on with a 1991 Dodge Dakota pickup truck that was in the southbound lanes, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Salem and a passenger in his vehicle, 24-year-old Alaa Mustafa Alkhatib, of Palos Hills, were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The two in the pickup also died at the scene. The driver and passenger were identified as Southwest Side residents Hector Gonzalez, 48, and Maria Gonzalez, 52, respectively, authorities said.

A second passenger, described as a juvenile, was in the pickup and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
