North Carolina is on hurricane watch as Arthur approaches the coast. The storm was upgraded to Category Two hurricane shortly after 9 p.m.
Jordan of Blue Water Real Estate checked in on Facebook with the conditions from Carteret County earlier this afternoon.
She said the outer bands of the storm are supposed to arrive Thursday afternoon. The eye of the hurricane will be landing 25 miles east of Emerald Isle. According to Jordan's Facebook update around 2:30PM, there were no mandatory evacuations for Carteret County. However, curfews are in effect at 11PM for all towns in Carteret County; 10PM for Rhode Isle.
No one can cross the bridge in Atlantic Beach after 11 PM. For more insight on the types of hazards to expect, click here.
Robin Kanady will have the full story from Emerald Isle tonight on My FOX Carolinas primetime.
