Town of Faith's Fourth of July Festival Underway After Close Call with Road Closure

Posted: Updated:

The Fourth of July week-long festival in the Rowan County town of Faith is underway after the festival almost had to contend with a major road closure that would have cut off the town from most of the festival traffic. One of the festival organizers, Randall Barger, told my Fox Carolinas the road closure would have been a “catastrophe” for the festival, which throughout the Fourth of July week averages about 80,000 visitors to the town.

The NC Department of Transportation found about the festival and postponed the road closure until after the events are over.

The new dates of the road closure on Faith Road are July 7-December 3. Traffic will be re-routed from Faith Road between Heilig and Saint Paul Church Roads onto Old Concord Road.
