NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) - She moved on from 50 Cent's G-Unit and now she said goodbye to 'Love and Hip Hop NY,' but actress and R& B singer Olivia Longott is experiencing more success than ever before.

“It wasn’t a falling out. They didn’t understand what to do with R&B. The formula they were following for me was the rap formula and it doesn’t work for an R&B artist," said Longott about leaving the music label.

The Brooklyn native shot to fame when she was featured in several hit songs by rapper 50 Cent including 'The Candy Shop' and 'Best Friend.'

The lowest point of her career came after leaving G-Unit.

"It hurts to turn on the radio and hear all these people speculate," said Longott.

She made a comeback on reality TV which she admits is "different" as an original cast member. That stint ran its course.

“I have a new HBO series which is why I’m not doing Love and Hip Hop New York anymore," said Longott.

While she's busy with a new series, the Bayside High School and Five Towns College graduate was able to write a book- Release Me: My Life, My Words- and complete a new album.

“I just felt like it was the right time. I’ve been writing poetry since I was 14. I’ve always wanted to write childrens' books. I just switched and said I need to tell the story of everything.  said Longott.

Her new album is titled, Right One For You and a single is expected to be released in the next few weeks.

The U.S. Open is underway in Queens and there's no denying that many of the players, both men and women, are in great physical shape and know how to play that up. Women are particularly promoted in the industry as attractive, fashionable and fiercely competitive. Does that help the game and draw more people in?

They helped me select a look from examples on the app and they encouraged me to tweak the looks to fit my style.

A new reality show is bringing a sense of urgency to your television screen. The show 'The Singles Project' is shot Wednesday- Saturday and airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on Bravo. “That's what makes the show different. We're filming in real-time. We're really on a roller coaster and it's off the rails. The social media part is just another layer,” said Joey Healy, eyebrow stylist to the stars. Healy, Lee Gause, Tabazum Mir and Kerry Cassidy are among the cast members.
