Police: 2 Found Stabbed At Hoarding Home In Olney

Police are investigating a double stabbing that occurred at the Olney home being described as belonging to "hoarders."

The violent attack was reported shortly before 5 a.m. Wednesday on the 5900 block of North Fourth Street.

Police are describing this as a very gruesome stabbing scene.

We're told the victims are a 71-year-old woman and a 54-year-old man. Both were rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center and reported to be in very critical condition.

The woman was apparently found unconscious outside of the home with roughly 15 stab wounds from her chest down to her feet. The man was found in the doorway with at least two stab wound to his torso.

A six-inch knife could be seen lying on the ground in video FOX 29 News cameras shot next to a cat in front of the home.

Police say the man and the woman are companions or roommates, and it's hard to tell if this could have been a robbery or if the pair could have stabbed each other.

Police haven't been able to get a clear idea of what happened because this home belongs to hoarders.

"Inside the property, it's very hard to tell what happened because it's a hoarder location," Chief Inspector Scott Small said. "It's filled with stuff and debris and trash and furniture and anything you can name from the third floor to the basement, where you have to walk through little trails in order to traverse the mess and the debris."

And police tell us when they arrived on scene they found a 18-year-old neighbor using a hose on the front lawn to clear the blood from the ground and hose down the female victim.

Police say that was not the right thing to do. They have taken him to Northwest Detectives to talk to him and learn more about his involvement as well as what he heard and saw. He is not considered a suspect in this case but rather a witness, at this point.

The victims have been upgraded from critical to serious condition.
