Soccer Fever Takes Over Charlotte

Posted: Updated:
The World Cup is in high gear in Brazil. It has taken the least likely of soccer fans and turned them into fùtbol hooligans.

That rings true in Charlotte. Restaurants, bars, even parking lots have been invaded by "Old Glory" and every other shade of red, white, and blue. It is a site that lifelong soccer fans are proud to see, increasing popularity in the United States.

Next for the United States is Germany on Thursday. With a win/tie against Germany or a Ghana and Portugal tie, America will advance to the round of 16.
