Dirty Dogs Get Washed For Charity

Posted: Updated:

Dogtopia Charlotte held their annual charity dog wash benefiting ‘Paws With a Cause.’

The specific program provides trained service dogs to disabled veterans.

The owner of the Charlotte location, Nicole Odom, says “for Dogtopias nationwide, this is our tenth year so it’s a really big year for us. We’re really excited.”

The cost of training one service dog is around $30,000, so they’re hoping to raise a combined $40,000 from all 28 locations.

In Charlotte, volunteers washed a total of 116 dogs throughout the day and raised $3,425.
