Minnesota teen rescues 2 baby deer from flood waters

REDWOOD FALLS, Minn. (KMSP) -

Flood waters are washing out roads, causing landslides and forcing evacuations and emergency orders all over Minnesota. So, how about some good news?

16-year-old Tyler Domeier of North Redwood, Minn. rescued two baby deer from the flood waters Thursday. The deer were snuggled up and given fresh water at the family’s indoor dog kennel.

“A neighbor spotted a mama deer, so Tyler quickly got the babies in that location,” said his mother, Candi Oman. “She then took them in as if they were her own.”

A 25-year-old Annandale man has been missing since Aug. 22, and while police aren't releasing many details, family members worry that foul play may be involved, so on Saturday, they did what they've done for the last several days -- they went looking for him.
