What's more All American for the Fourth of July than a good old hot dog? If you're looking for a patriotic meal, you can head to either Dilworth or Ballantyne and check out JJ's Red Hots.

Trying to figure out where to take dad for Father's Day? Our restaurant expert Sarah Crosland has a thought.
Why not knock a few back with dad at the NoDa Brewing Company? The tap room at the brewery is featuring some summer selections, along with classics like it's award-winning Hop, Drop & Roll. The outdoor patio is set up for some family fun, and area food trucks will be there to provide some non-liquid nourishment as well.  At 3 p.m. on Sunday, you can also get a tour of the brewery. Head brewer Chad Henderson says their tour is not a typical cursory look at the brewing tanks. The tour goes for more than 30 minutes and delves into the entire science behind brewing beer.
NoDa Brewing Company is located at 2229 N. Davidson.
