Looking for Love: There's an App for That

Posted: Updated:
Rock Hill, SC - The dating scene just got a little easier thanks to millennial inventions such as your smart phone and a new app called Tinder.

Tinder is a  dating app that gives singles a unique and discreet way to meet. It syncs with your Facebook profile and then the app locate singles in your area... now the fun begins! You swipe left if you're not interested in someone, and swipe right if you are. In order to make a match the person has to swipe you as well.

"She was wearing American flag underwear over her pants and I love America, so I talked to her." Marshall giggled as he recalled Lauren's Tinder profile picture that attracted him to Lauren.

With no prior experience of online dating, both were nervous about finding a mate through an online service.

I have a friend who is really big on Tinder, at first I didn't like the sound of it so I gave it a try while I was in a different state and it's definitely a self-esteem booster, " Lauren said. Marshall was expecting Tinder to be like other dating sites where you have to fill out a questionnaire about yourself. "I didn't wanna put that much effort into it because I didn't have a problem meeting people in life but tinder is easy to use."

After two weeks they took  their conversation off line and met in person. "I felt like I was tripping over my own words everything I did. I felt like a second grader who had a crush...he's cute,"

And for the people who think they may not last, Lauren wants you to know., I moved in with them I hope I never have to move out."
