Jimmie Johnson Wins at Dover for Second Straight Win

Posted: Updated:
Dover, DE - Jimmie Johnson was the subject of some criticism, as little as 10 days ago. There were questions as to why he hadn't yet won in 2014.

Now the 48 car has won back-to-back races, and Johnson is in control of the Sprint Cup Series.

"I'd love to rattle off three or four wins, have people fearing the 48 like they have in the past," Johnson said, after he won the pole for the Coca-Cola 600.  Now, after winning consecutive races, there's reason to believe, the garage is quaking in their boots, once again.

Johnson's win is his ninth win at Dover -- a record he already held, and builds on.

Brad Keselowski finished second. Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer, and Denny Hamlin rounded out the top 5.
