When you've had as much success at something as Jimmie Johnson has had in NASCAR, people expect you to win all the time. So when Johnson started the season out with no wins in the first three months of the season, people began to whisper about his "slump."

If there were any serious questions about Johnson's performance this season, he did his best to answer them on and off the track at the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday night. The six-time Sprint Cup Series champ took advantage of the pole and came away with the win, his fourth overall in one of NASCAR's most prestigious races.

When the dust settled and Johnson found himself in the winner's circle once again, he took advantage of his win to get in some good-natured ribbing at the media.

"What are you guys going to talk about now?" he asked with a grin.

Johnson's win secures his spot in The Chase, keeping him in the running to win his seventh series title. All joking aside, he tried to put the treatment of his season prior to Sunday in perspective.

"I guess it's a good thing when you've had so much success that people consider 12 races a slump," he said.
