Nathan's Famous Hotdog Throwdown

Posted: Updated:
Speed Street 2014 wrapped up today with a bang. Of course there was food, drinks, and music but one event stood above the others. The Nathan's Famous Hotdog contest.

The contest put 14 hungry competitors against each other. What was on the line? A spot at the table of legends on July 4 in Coney Island, New York.

Joey Chestnut is the current world record holder of eating the most hotdogs in 10 minutes at 69. Chestnut was in Charlotte today cheering on the contestants, one of which will be challenging him for his Mustard Belt on July 4.

The winner today was Ronnie Hartman. He will go head to head with the best hotdog eaters in the world in Coney Island on Independence Day.
