Deputies say students at Rock Hill High School are facing charges, after deputies say they stole iPads from inside the school, and then tried to sell them at pawn shops.

Four students were arrested on campus, and two others - one a juvenile, and the other not a student at Rock Hill.

Police arrested Devin Boyd, Darius Stevenson, Deante McGraw, and Kendric Greene. They are charged with receiving stolen goods, and obtaining property under false pretenses.

Police also arrested Dontavious Trenard Ingramis. He's not a student at Rock Hill High School. The sixth suspect is a juvenile and was petitioned to family court on May 8.

School officials said three of the students arrested Friday were seniors and the fourth was a junior.

All are charged with receiving stolen goods valued at $2,000 or less and obtaining signature or property under false pretenses. The students face a potential $475 fine and/or 30 days in prison.

Seniors were taking final exams at the time of the arrests. More charges could come as the investigation continues.

Students on campus found out about the arrests via social media. They tell us Twitter is how rumors travel in the hallways of school.

Seven tablet devices were stolen in total. Investigators learned the suspects were selling the stolen tablets, many of them iPads, to local pawn shops and trade-in stores.
