Austin and Ty Dillon have been racing since they were teenagers.

'My brother and I went right over here behind that the big track and at a quarter mile and had a Bandolero and got to test it and we knew from right then that the sport we wanted to be in was racing," NASCAR driver, Austin, remembered.

"From the first time me and Austin got in that Bandolero car in Charlotte, we've just been in love with it," Austin's younger brother and fellow driver, Ty Dillon recalled. "Really been racing hard, been running 60 to 70 races a year  to get to the point where we are now."

Austin and Ty Dillon are part of the next generation of NASCAR drivers. Racing is something that runs in their blood.

Their dad, Mike Dillon, raced in the Busch series and their grandfather is former NASCAR driver and team owner, Richard Childress.

It's competition that drives these brothers.

"That's the biggest thing is having a competitive brother that you can push yourself to be better with," said Austin Dillon.

"I remember one time, we were a lot younger, we were running bandoleros and coming down to the last lap.  It was one of the first races we ran together and coming down to the last lap, I wrecked him for third or something. and I'll never forget how mad he was that day but now it's funny to look back at it," said Ty Dillon.

They aren't just brothers; they are best friends.

"We are really close.  We don't live but a 100 yards from each other. We do everything together pretty much. It's nice to have your best friend and your brother that's doing the same thing. We stay close beyond the sport," said Ty Dillon.

The Dillon brothers are originally from North Carolina and it's being back home that has these down-to-earth guys excited.

"It's nice to be home.  A lot of your hometown fans can come watch you and Charlotte is always a great venue," said Austin Dillon.

The races still bring out the life-long competitive nature in the brothers.

"When we've had the chance, we've been about equal, where we finish, we finishes ahead of who," said Ty Dillon.

"We've had some really good battles, but I'm always gonna choose myself, but if I can't win, I hope my brother does," said Austin Dillon.

It's a victory that both brothers could celebrate.
