Panthers Sign Tackle, Punter

(Courtesy of the Carolina Panthers) The Carolina Panthers have signed offensive tackle David Foucault (pronounced FOO-koh) and punter Jordan Gay, the team announced Monday.

Foucault, 6-8 and 320 pounds, was selected by the Montreal Alouettes with the fifth overall choice in the 2014 Canadian Football League Draft out of the University of Montreal. He signed with the Panthers following his participation on a tryout basis at the team’s minicamp, May 16-17.

Gay, 6-1 and 200 pounds, previously spent time with the Panthers as a rookie during the 2013 preseason before being waived. He most recently spent time with the New York Giants, joining the team in January before being waived May 12.

The Panthers also waived offensive linemen Travis Bond, Mike Jasper and Phillipkeith Manley.
