Posted: Updated:
Arguably the most exciting time during the NASCAR season kicks off this week, Speed Street. This year is the 20th anniversary of the three day event.

Speed Street brings fans from all over the nation. More than 400,000 to be exact, some have never missed a year and others like Arlene and Leroy Vierra, from California are attending their very first Speed Street.

"We've been looking for some things to do," said Arlene.

Speed Street begins Thursday (opening ceremonies 5 p.m.) and runs through Saturday night.
Highlighted acts include Who's Bad, the Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band (Friday), Thompson Square (Saturday) and .38 Special as the final act on Saturday.

Saturday also includes a Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at 5:30 p.m.

See the MAP of Speed Street.
Speed Street is a free event.
