Hundreds of Pictures Found, Police Looking For Owner

Posted: Updated:

“The albums were turned into the police department about maybe a year, year and a half ago. So here are the albums on the shelf here," said Jenkintown Police Chief Albert Divalentino.

The albums reveal many mysterious lives with no clues as to who these people are.

"We would look first for any kind of name, phone number, area we can identify…we didn't see anything like that here," said Albert Divalentino

Chief Albert Divalentino called FOX 29 to get the images out to the public. The photos date as far back as 1996 showing smiling faces in happy times running up through the 2000s.

"They're beautiful photographs. I mean there's children, there's grandparents, there's weddings," he said

Clearly, these people loved Philly sports. There is a shot at the old vet in South Philly also an Eagles party from the Andy Reid era.

We noticed the woman is seen in several pics too. In one photo, she appears as a bride's maid. Here she is during a trip to Italy. There are even photos from when she was younger.

"I'm sure whoever lost these just gave up or figured "they're gone, they're gone." Or maybe they don't even realize they are gone," said Divalentino.

The chief says a woman found the albums on the ground downtown and turned them in.

"We're thinking maybe somebody was loading their car and forgot to put them in. Maybe they put them on top of the car and they fell off. I don't know," he said.

So if you see anyone who looks familiar the Jenkintown Police Department wants to hear from you at 215 884-1200.

Video games may be pure fantasy, but a violent action-adventure game called "Watch Dogs" has ignited a very real debate in one South Jersey community. Watch Dog allows players to adopt the persona of a James Bond-like computer hacker, chasing an evil mastermind. People say it's chock-full of foul language, sex and violence, features dark and foreboding backdrops. The latest version, which is due out this fall may be set in Camden.
