NASCAR is king in the Carolinas for the next couple of weeks.  If you plan to throw a watch party, we have the perfect dishes for you!  We brought in two award-winning chefs from The String Bean in Belmont with some great ideas for party food.

Owner-Chef Chad Hutcheson and Chef Alex East prepare delicious bacon wrapped jalapenos poppers,  a recipe perfect for the big race!  It's a Cheerwine BBQ Sundae.  The My Fox Carolinas crew - including Nick and Cheryl - could not get enough.   The dish includes layers of pulled pork, baked beans, a layer of Cheerwine BBQ sauce, and slaw.  It's a recipe cooked up by a crew of chefs pulling a late night in the String Bean kitchen!  As the cars are speeding around the track, imagine sitting back in your recliner and chowing down on the savory Carolina dish.  The taste can be summed up in one word: Delicious!

The String Bean is located at 106 N Main St in Belmont, NC. The menu boasts popular items like duck fat fries and  bison quesadillas.  The restaurant also has an extensive collection of beer and wine.   The String Bean is the winner of the 2013 Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator, a distinguished wine trade magazine.

You can try your hand at the recipes yourself or dash down to the String Bean, and get an expertly prepared NASCAR take out box for your party at home.  Your party-watchers will love it!
