A day after going offensive in the first round, the Carolina Panthers switched their focus to the defensive side in the second round. The Panthers selected Missouri defensive end Kony Ealy with the 60th overall pick in the NFL Draft.

The 6’4, 275 pound Ealy racked up 9.5 sacks as a senior in 2013 playing opposite of SEC Defensive Player of The Year Michael Sams.

The Panthers went back to defense in the third round, picking up LSU guard Trai Turner 92nd overall in an attempt to improve their offensive line.
