Residents complain in Lansing about Rep. Olumba's living situation

Posted: Updated:
(WJBK) - Days after Rep. Jase Bolger said he would investigate if he got a complaint about Rep. John Olumba, two of Olumba's constituents came to Lansing with a complaint.

"District 3 wants change. They want real representation. They don't want somebody, an outsider, pretending that they are the representation," says Russ Bellant, a third district resident.

The complaint comes after FOX 2 Problem Solver M.L. Elrick caught the Detroit lawmaker living outside his district. Olumba admitted he moved his family across town but had said he still sleeps in his old neighborhood

A letter signed by more than a dozen block club and neighborhood association leaders was brought to the state capitol calling for "necessary action" to be taken to "vacate" Olumba from his position.

However, the constituents were sent on a wild goose chase.
