Paw Pods offers eco-friendly burial option for pets

Posted: Updated:
(WJBK) - Losing a pet is tough and can sometimes leave pet owners struggling with what to do once the animal dies. A local company is offering a unique, environmentally friendly option for burial.

Paw Pods is a company based in Lake Orion, Mich. which offers eco-friendly and affordable burial pods for various pets.

The pods are made from a combination of bamboo fiber and rice husk. The material took four years to perfect.

Each one comes with a flower seeded sympathy card, which you can plant at the burial site to grow annual wildflowers.

Right now, Paw Pods offers pods of in a variety of sizes and will be offering even larger pods this summer. Their products are currently available online and in 19 states.
