York Police Chief Under Investigation for "Use of Force"

Posted: Updated:

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating an incident involving the York Police Chief.

The city of York will not give information about the incident, other than it involved arresting someone, and it questions the chief's use of force.

According to York city officials, "Due to the fact that this particular incident involved the police chief, and the fact that the police department’s Policy and Procedures do not provide for use of force review protocols involving the police chief, City Administration made the decision to contact an independent and impartial entity (the State Law Enforcement Division) to review this incident."

Robinson is working as the investigation continues.
