Posted: Updated:
Part 1: Detroiters fighting back against crime

The stories are becoming a weekly occurrence - a homeowner taking action against a suspected intruder, sometimes even shooting them dead. Now, one man in Detroit is recording video of would-be crooks and shaming them on social media.

What's the right way to deter criminals in the city?

On the panel:

Rick Ector, firearms instructor
Ron Scott, Coalition Against Police Brutality
Rev. Charles Williams, National Action Network
FOX 2 legal analyst Charlie Langton

Part 2: Junk food in schools

Are schools going too far with their healthy-eating policies? Some parents say the teachers need to focus more on teaching and less than what the kids are eating.

The discussion comes after a Detroit father has been charged with aggravated assault after getting into a fight with a principal after learning his child was banned from a field trip. The principal reportedly caught the child hiding junk food from teachers, and punished the student for trying to deceive authorities.

On the panel:

Tarek Rayshouny, teacher
Linda Lulgjuraj, parent
Randy Speck, Madison Public Schools Superintendent
FOX 2 legal analyst Charlie Langton

Part 3: Let It Rip On the Road: Junk food in schools

Fox 2's Charlie Langton takes Let It Rip on the road to find out how metro Detroit feels about teachers supervising what their students eat.
