Man: Worker pulled AR-15 during confrontation in Detroit

Posted: Updated:
DETROIT (WJBK) -- There was profanity, racial slurs and an AR-15 rifle. A fiery confrontation at a Metro PCS store in Detroit had it all.

James Morris recorded it on his cell phone. He says it all began with a dispute over his phone bill

"They called me and said I only paid $9 in March," said Morris, who claims he paid $63 in person earlier this month. But the worker disagreed and demanded a reciept.

That's when things got heated. Morris claims Auorahem Safar made numerous racial slurs towards him and his girlfriend. And, Morris claims the verbal assault nearly turned into gun play.

"That's when he pulled out his gun and told me I had three seconds or he was going to blow my head off."

When confronted by FOX 2's Randy Wimbley (see video), Safar denied ever brandishing a weapon. But a short time later, he came clean. Safar claimed Morris was intoxicated.

Morris says Safar called him after the incident and credited his account $125.

Morris says he's filed a police report.
