"I have some vision but at night I have like none and it's really subjective with different lightings and things like that," says Brianna Murray.

Murray is legally blind.

It hasn't slowed her down.

Brianna is a junior at Winthrop University where she's made the Dean's List as a psychology major.

"My passion is counseling, I want to help people," says Murray.

Brianna's best friend, however isn't a "person."

It's "Lacy," a friendly, furry companion who helps her every step of the way.

"Literally, she is like a part of me, she's my eyes. There aren't even words to describe that bond. When she is feeling upset or anxious, I feel anxious. We literally pass emotions," says Murray.

Murray relies on her guide dog, to get her to where she needs to go.

On Monday night, that included "Happy Garden Chinese Buffett" in Rock Hill.

Where she left, feeling anything *but "happy."

"The lady was like we can't seat you, you have to not bring a dog in here," says Murray.

Since Lacy is a service animal, the law says she can go anywhere the general public is allowed.

That's part of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Brianna says she explained this to "Happy Garden."

"They began to laugh at me as I was explaining," says Murray.

"Happy Garden" employee, Yue Fang, denies that.

"We never do that.....we too busy, We cannot, no good for the people," says Fang.

Either way, Murray called the police.

She tells us the officers informed the restaurant that they had to let Lacy in.

For her part, Fang chalks up the whole episode to a misunderstanding because her English is not good.

She says all customers are welcome, including those with service dogs, to "Happy Garden."

"We good for anybody, you want to come in, we'll welcome you. We're not like mean people," says Fang.

Murray says she didn't feel welcomed so she left.

She hopes this incident sheds light on the barriers that still make life difficult for people with disabilities.

" I want to fix the issue before someone who comes can't," says Murray.
