    Huntersville, NC-The Lake Norman Copperheads play in the Southern Collegiate Baseball League. It's a wooden bat league that helps players make the adjustment from using an aluminum bat at the plate. The team is made up of mostly college freshmen and sophomores. The summer baseball league is designed to help players prepare for baseball at the next level whether it's professionally or trying to secure a division one scholarship.The team plays 42 games during their two month season.

Charlotte-Mark Cryan evaluates BB&T BallPark. Cryan is the author of "Cradle of Baseball" Baseball and Ballparks in North Carolina. Cryan is a professor at Elon University and a historian of minor league baseball in North Carolina. He says BB&T Ballpark is the best stadium in the state.
