The faithful flocked to a church in Griffith, Ind. to see what appears to be the tear-stained cheek of Mary on a local statue.
The tear was spotted at St. Mary Catholic Church on Monday after fourth grade students left confession. Since then, people have traveled to the church to see the stain, hug the statue and say a silent prayer.
Those who have seen the statue are calling the water stain on Mary's right cheek a "miracle" and say it has reinforced their faith.
The statue stands about four feet tall and has been at the church for 21 years. It currently sits in a garden at the church.
