A Fox 5 viewer got frustrated after the county tore up his yard then left the mess. So, he turned to our "Call for Action" team for help.
And he got it. This viewer says for months on end he had to look out over a giant hole in his front yard. His shrubs were pulled up. Construction debris was left behind. He'd had it. And so had his neighbors.
"The water system burst in my front yard. Caused a bunch of damage. They had to come out and fix it," said Fox 5 viewer Franklin Ealey.
And they did. The county, he says, dug a huge hole, made the repair, then left.
"Well, they really left it a mess. Cones was out for, like, three months," he said shaking his head.
Mr. Ealey says he called. The neighbors called. Everyone tried to get county workers out to fill up the hole and to put his shrubs back.
"I kept calling and calling. They promised they'd come out, but for three months they never did."
Three months. So, he made one more call to Fox 5's "Call for Action" team.
"They got on them about it, and they came out. The same day. With two trucks and a supervisor. They got right on it."
