Another legal bump in the road for General Motors. Now, a lawsuit has been filed by more than 600 people. They say they had GM cars recalled for faulty ignition switches and suffered injures, or are related to someone who died in a crash. They filed the lawsuit because they say they are not covered in the victims compensation program. WASHINGTON (WJBK) - General Motors' CEO Mary Barra testified before a Senate subcommittee Wednesday about the company's recall crisis.

Members of the committee questioned more aggressively than those of the House subcommittee the day before, accusing GM of attempting to cover up the problems with an ignition switch that is now linked to 13 deaths.

Barra has been the CEO for just a few months now, but she has been at GM for 33 years. Because of her long-time involvement with the company, some members of the committee have a hard time believing Barra is as ill-informed as she claims to be.

California Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer appeared to be so frustrated that she challenged Barra's womanhood, saying, "I am very disappointed, really, as a woman to woman, I am very disappointed. Because the culture you are representing here today is a culture of the status quo."

LeDuff: There are conflicting accounts about what happened between the cop and the teen.   There is no videotape and so we may never know what really happened. But after getting an unprovoked beating with a traffic cone in Ferguson myself, I wondered what it must be like to be on the other side of the shield.
