Health Care Enrollment Help

Posted: Updated:

The deadline to sign up for health insurance is quickly approaching. Those who do not receive health insurance from the government or their employers must sign up for insurance on healthcare.gov by March 31st or be penalized. The penalty will be one percent of your annual income.

South Carolina Blue Cross has come to Rock Hill to help answer questions for people struggling and also help them enroll.

“We are here to be a resource for them and help walk them through that process,” said SC Blue Communications Director Adam Myrick.

Monday and Tuesday, they will be parked outside the Walmart on Dave Lyle Blvd. They wrapped a 40-foot RV in the SC Blue logo so it can’t be missed. Inside the bus, licensed agents are waiting to help you sign up for insurance.

The only requirements: you must be under 65 years old and make at least $11,500 a year.

“We are reminding people that we are here in the 11th hour,” said Myrick.
