Explosion destroys Lancaster County home

Posted: Updated:
An overnight explosion left a Lancaster County home in pieces.

Officials say no one was in the home at the time of the explosion on Cane Mill Road, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the explosion is still under investigation, but it may have been caused by natural gas, said Stephen Blackwelder, Lancaster County Fire Marshall.

The explosion was so big it left damages to at least five other homes.

"The only thing left of the home is a wall about shoulder length, there's nothing left," said Blackwelder.
