Harriet Shuman remembers driving down Remount Road as a child.

"Every time we drove by here my mother would stop and say this is where the shumans are buried. This is your grandaddys family," she said.

Harriet's great grandmother - Katie Shuman inherited the farm.

Her son, Edward Stone took care of the cemetery until he died.

After that they think they forgot about the cemetery because he was the only one tending to it.

There are no markers to identify any of the graves - just an outline of bricks.

It was so unassuming, the apartment complex next door thought it was a pet cemetery.

The discovery only made after this small plot of land - overrun with weeds - was cleaned up.

But until the owners are found the rest of the people buried here will remain unknown.
