New Jersey's Yoga Moms

Posted: Updated:
Lodi, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Two Lodi, New Jersey mothers, Laura Kasperzak and Masumi Goldman, came together to create the company “Two Fit Moms”. Their company focuses on all things nutritious and healthy.

These super-fit yoga moms have over 750,000 followers on instagram and it’s all thanks to their creative yoga poses which incorporates children. Laura describes the amount of followers as “surreal.” Both robust moms gave their stories of how they started the popularity of the company.

“I started out just posting one or two yoga pictures and I never thought anything would come of it,” Laura stated.

“One thing we became pretty popular for is doing what we call snoga. Which is running outside, not practicing in the snow, but running outside briefly to take a photo of a pose in the snow while it’s snowing,” Masumi said.

These 36-year old mothers have been friends since high school and both have two children ages

4 and 8. Their children can even be seen in their yoga instagram pictures! Laura convinced Masumi to get certified to teach yoga and now they are experts. Later on, they created they’re helpful website and it’s really taking off!

The two even gave incite on the benefits of yoga, especially for moms. To no surprise “patience” is one of the most useful attributes to gain.

“I’d say the one thing about yoga is that we really focus on breathing and being able to turn inward and that really helps when you have an 8 year-old and 4 year-old,” Masumi explained.

The two fit moms offer their classes for $5 every Wednesday night at 7pm in Lodi, New Jersey to help with mind, body, and spirit.

It's only September, but the big box stores are already putting Christmas trees and apparel out on the shelves and some people say it's just too early for all that stuff!  “I just saw Christmas trees and Christmas decorations and my air conditioner is on at home. So I have no intention of going anywhere near them, I think it's a horrible idea,” one customer said.
