Former East Meck guard wins MEAC Player of The Year

Former East Mecklenburg basketball star Jeremy Ingram won a big honor on Monday. The North Carolina Central guard was named MEAC Player of The Year after leading NCCU to the regular-season conference title.

The 6'3 senior averaged a team-high 20.2 points, while helping NCCU to a 25-5 record. He scored 30 or more points four times this season, including a career-high 38 points against Savannah State. NCCU will enter the MEAC Tournament as the top seed.
