Before moving to Charlotte to be part of the My Fox Carolinas family, I was a meteorologist and weather producer for CNN, CNNi and HLN in Atlanta. I forecasted for and covered all major weather events in 2013, including the deadly tornado season, Typhoon Haiyan and the flooding in Colorado. I grew up in Atlanta and found my love of weather at the early age of eight.

It was a sunny and beautiful Saturday with high temperatures reaching into the mid-60s!

For tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-40s, dropping into the lower 40s during the overnight hours.

The rest of the weekend looks great, with highs on Sunday reaching into the upper 60s and lower 70s with mostly sunny skies. Charlotte should top out around 70 degrees. Lows on Sunday will drop into the mid to upper 30s. A cold front will cross our region Sunday night into Monday.

For the start of the work week, Monday will be mild with highs close to 60 and mostly sunny skies. Heading into the middle part of the week, temperatures will begin to tumble down into the upper 40s and 50s with lows dropping into the upper 20s and lower 30s.

We do have a slight chance for showers and Tuesday and Wednesday, but right now it only looks like a 30% chance on both days with clear skies by Wednesday night.
