The North Carolina Tar Heels scored 14 of the games' final 20 points, as the Heels knocked off the Duke Blue Devils, 74-66 on Thursday night.
Carolina got 21 points from from Leslie McDonald, and Marcus Paige added 13 as the Heels came back from 11 points down in the second half.
Duke led 51-40, with 15 minutes to play, but the Heels employed a variety of zone and trapping defenses to slow the Duke offense down.
Duke scored on a Jabari Parker layup, to take that 51-40 lead, at the 15:14 mark of the second half. The next Blue Devils field goal came with 6:26 to play, as Quinn Cook scored on a layup of his own. The 8:48 drought crippled Duke's chances, as they went from up 11, to up 4.
Carolina improves to 19-7 (9-4 ACC), while Duke falls to 21-6 (10-4 ACC).
