Charlotte, NC -
The Charlotte Bobcats have traded Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien to the Milwaukee Bucks, in exchange for Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour.
The Bobcats held a formal announcement of the trade Thursday night.
In Gary Neal, the Bobcats add a three-point specialist who spent his first three seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. In each of his first two seasons, Neal shot 41.9% from three-point range, averaging just shy of 10 points per game.
In Neal, the Bobcats also add playoff experience. Neal was a Spurs staple off the bench during their playoff runs in his three seasons in San Antonio.
Ridnour was in his second stint with the Bucks, in a career spanning 11 seasons and three different franchises. Ridnour has the ability to play both the point guard and shooting guard positions.
Sessions was a popular player for the Bobcats, mostly coming off the bench to provide an offensive spark. In his two seasons with the Bobcats, Sessions averaged 14.4 points per game last season, and 10.5 per game this year.
Adrien was a role player off the bench for the Bobcats, averaging 2.3 points, and 3.5 rebounds per game this season.
The Bobcats are back on the court Friday night, as they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
