It's the story that's never been told on television. The story of Jackie Baucom, the estranged wife of David "Slim" Baucom, the owner of a number successful strip clubs in the Charlotte region. Her husband, most recently, has been tied to the Former Mayor of Charlotte, Patrick Cannon. Cannon pled guilty to corruption charges, and admitted to taking bribes from an area club owner.

It's been a long road for Jackie Baucom. A marriage to a powerful Charlotte strip club owner, the victim of domestic abuse, life as a swinger, and the challenge of starting over.

The snow and the ice isn’t here yet, but local emergency groups like Medic are already preparing for the worst. Don Overcash is the operations director at Medic. He is adding additional shifts and staff, as they expect the roads to get dangerous overnight, and into the new few days. Traffic accidents and slips and falls seem to be what they respond to the most during a winter storm.

Down the road at the Red Cross, they are helping to inform the public on what they need to keep them to stay safe in this winter blast. Flashlights, batteries, bottled water and blankets are the necessities. Especially if the power goes out, you will need these things to stay warm and hydrated.

The Red Cross is working hand and hand with emergency management and the weather service. Monitoring this storm as it develops, and they're ready to open shelter or warming stations in case it's get extreme."

We all have heard of the saying, “a dog is a man’s best friend," it may sound a bit cliche but it’s true for Fred Shrill and his dog Tucker. “I wouldn’t take the world or him,” said Fred as he smiled.

Friday, for my assignment, I was tasked with a ride-along in a Global Rallycross car, at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Cars that go zero-to-60 in 1.9 seconds -- that's faster than a formula one car. We're talking about machines with absurd power. Not a bad gig... But enough to make you a little skittish...
