    I took a break from the business to start a family and build a Sports Media consultancy, but never lost the “bug.”

Blake Brockington, a senior at East Mecklenburg High School, was crowned Homecoming King at the basketball game Friday night. He’s the first transgender young man to run in a reverse homecoming and win this title in North Carolina.

He was nominated by his peers… and raised the most money to be crowned King. Blake had several supporters at the basketball game, applauding his courage which is impacting policy within CMS. Barbara Pinson Lash has the story.
