Food Trucks have taken over the Charlotte region. You can find them at events, outside of weddings, next to the sidewalk on your lunch break, or even a whole rally of food trucks in a parking lot. The phenomenon is drawing large crowds to this gourmet food option, but some lawmakers could put a hold on where and when the food trucks can operate. The planning commission for Mecklenburg County is meeting on April 29th to decide what laws should and shouldn't affect food trucks.

A local non-profit group is hitting the pavement trying to educate the public on healthcare.

The group, Get Covered America, works with the Obama Administration. The group goes to area barber and beauty shops, and churches, hoping to help the public find an affordable insurance option.

The group went to a barber shop on Nations Ford Road, and spoke to the patrons there.
