South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has four days to sign into law a bill allowing legal gun carriers to take theirs firearm into a bar or bar-restaurant.
The bill does not allow those carrying guns to drink while packing heat.
Like drinking and driving, it’s on the honor system. If caught disobeying the law, the gun carrier could face a fine up to $2,000 and possibly lose his or her concealed weapons permit.
Restaurant and bar owners will still have a say whether or not to allow weapons in their establishments.
If they do not want firearms in their bar, they can put a sign on the entrance saying “No Concealed Weapons Allowed”.
