Meka Harrell is the owner of the Pink Culture truck, and she wants to give back in a fashionable way.

Saturday Jan. 18 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Vin Masters, she will collect shoes from guest during her website launch party.

Harrell will donate shoes to men, women, and children around the world.

“We knew having the shoe drive would be a good fit because; as we all know shoes are an important fashion piece,” she said.

Harrell partnered with the non-profit, The Kelly Company which collects unwanted shoes from around the world.

If someone has unwanted shoes collecting dust in the closet they can donate them to someone in need.

Harrell is having a party to launch the website of her mobile boutique truck, Pink Culture.

“We wanted to do a website launch because we really didn't celebrate the launch of the truck officially,” she said. “So this is our mix and mingle party to get out and meet our fans and supporters.”

The event will also feature a fashion show.

“Our fashion show will help our clients get a feel of how the clothes fit and the truck will be onsite as well,” she said. “The website just helps us better service our customers when we are not having an event.”

At Harrell’s launch party all is welcomed. Food trucks, the Maryland Crab and The Chrome Toaster will also be in attendance.
