The traveling public is beginning to feel the effects of the merger between American Airlines and US Airways.
The new airline said Tuesday it will continue to honor the mileage balance and elite status of frequent flyers in both the AAdvantage and US Airways Dividend Miles programs.
The plan is to eventually combine the two programs into one, but for now travelers can earn and use AAdvantage points and segments on eligible US Airways flights.
Other things like Wi-Fi passes and lounge memberships will be valid on both airlines.
